Incentives
Wilson established a Municipal Service District downtown in 1981. Owners of property located within the district pay an additional $.18 per $100 of property value in property taxes, generating approximately $75,000+ in annual revenue. These funds are used for special events, marketing, redevelopment incentives, and programs that fulfill our vision for a vibrant downtown.
Current Grant Opportunities
Wilson Downtown Development Corporation awards several grants each fall and spring depending on funding availability. The fall cycle is underway with deadlines in October 2026 for the following grants:
